ING Belgium is one of the top three operators in the Belgian Private Banking sector. It offers tailor-made advice and assistance to individuals and families
with personal transferable capital of at least 1 million euros.

Challenge

ING manages about 600 ICT contractors on T&M basis through its Resource
Allocation Management (RAM) team. RAM had already implemented a sourcing process supported by tools such as email, Excel and Access. Having already a structured sourcing process in place, ING wanted to reduce operational workload, improve contractor screening and introduce automated supplier performance monitoring.

Solution

CE VMS provided a single software interface shared by all stakeholders (internal users as well as suppliers) supporting the entire ING sourcing & contracting process, from the moment a new contractor is required, up until the final contract renewal of that same contractor. Extra functionality was developed based on a detailed gap analysis and ING users were trained in order to get familiar with the CE VMS platform. The system went live on time and within budget after careful testing by the ING RAM team.
